Make significant metal discoveries, drive change

Today, society demands greater accountability in mineral sourcing and—to reconcile with First Nations and Indigenous groups—the old exploration model has to change…

It’s why, here at First Class Metals (LON:FCM, FSE:WN9), we’re creating a new model of transparent, science-driven, environmentally conscious early-stage mineral exploration. In doing so, we hope to inspire change within our own industry and in the public eye.

Indeed, our approach means all of our projects have a solid footing in ethical resource management for future development and resource supply.

Our ultimate mission is simple: to make discoveries. But we want to do so by creating viable exploration opportunities and challenging the “status quo” through means that promote stewardship of the land, contribute toward a stable climate, and integrate indigenous ideals whilst moving towards the decolonization of mineral development.

It’s our desire to build equitable relationships with all stakeholders, and we are driven to find the balance between conservation, development, economic opportunity, and demand. We hope our own work in this regard will inspire other explorers and businesses to make the shift.

Right now, we are working towards redefining grassroots mineral exploration by shifting the focus of stewardship, inclusivity, and transparency into the earliest stages of any project. In fact, we select projects based on their scientific merit, progressive jurisdictions, and with an eye on how we can mitigate the impact on the land.

Our business model is built upon what we call “adaptive planning”, which allows us to shift gears to suit the requirements of communities whilst reacting to changing demands.

Through everything we do, we seek to learn as much as we teach, and strive to create projects that are sustainable, providing opportunities at every stage.
