Project overview

First Class Metals’ Zigzag project is a hard rock lithium prospect encompassing a six-unit claim group.

This area notably includes the pegmatite hosting the historically significant Tebishogeshik lithium occurrence, which spans over 800m in length and can reach thicknesses of up to 18m.

Importantly, the potential of this occurrence remains largely untapped and remains open along strike and at depth. First Class Metals believes this to warrant further comprehensive evaluation.

Historical exploration efforts at Zigzag have already identified mineralization of Li2O and Ta2O5 (tantalum oxide).  Historical surface sampling has also reported values of up to 1.68% Li2O, illustrating the substantial lithium potential of the prospect.

Recent activity from First Class Metals’ successful first systematic phase of exploration has now built on this in a number of ways.

First, the Company completed a thorough review of the available historical information on Zigzag prior to initiating field activities. This data set was not voluminous. But what was present proved very positive in respect to the presence of lithium and other targeted minerals.

Meanwhile, First Class Metals also completed an initial reconnaissance trip to assess the site's accessibility.

This resulted in the collection of four samples from a previously unreported trench that confirmed the pegmatite's potential. Specifically, samples from the area demonstrated concentrations exceeding 1% Li20 (lithium oxide).

Meanwhile, other key results includes:

  • Receipt of final results from an initial 39 samples from the first phase of exploration with a significant number of over 1% Li2O. (see table 1).

  • Identification of a strike of over 350m with more than 1%Li2O using grab samples. This remains open in both directions.

Recent drilling results include received in February 2024 include.

·      Assay results from the recent drill programme are in line with and exceed the channel sample results.

Selected highlights include:

ZIG-23-01    4.3m @ 1.65% Lithium (Li20) including 1m at 2.93%

ZIG-23-02    5.0m @ 1.5% Li20 including 0.2m @ 5.19% and 5.75m @ 0.21% Rb20

ZIG-23-07    6.5m @ 1.09% Li20 including 0.5m @ 2.76%

·      Elevated grades of several key technology critical metals present including: gallium (Ga), rubidium (Rb20) , caesium (Ca) and tantalum (Ta).

·      Significant upside for the expansion of the geochemical envelope along strike in both directions and down dip.

·      Initial geochemical results indicate the probable existence of a second structure.

Table 1, showing the higher Li2O, results reported from Summer 2023 prospecting. All samples are of pegmatite with varying amounts of visible spodumene. Highlighted samples are those of selected spodumene crystals.

Next Steps   An Exploration Permit to allow additional stripping and drilling on the Property is being drafted.
